Job description


•Responsible for all aspects of the network datacenter, WAN, and remote office networking including standards, design, integration, and technology recommendations. 

•Work with other IS teams to design, deliver, and support projects and services. 

•Responsible to troubleshoot issues escalated from team members and peers of other teams. 

•Assist as necessary with day to day administrative support. 

•Work with project managers to upgrade or create designs to meet business requirements. Work with peers to assist and support other engineering initiatives. 

•Follow all incident and problem management process for operational support. 

•Monitor LAN/WAN connectivity to ensure all users have the required LAN/WAN connections. 

•Assist with budget planning for major technical initiaties. •On-call support on a 24x7 rotational basis.

Desired Skills and Experience

Two-year degree with an emphasis in computer science, engineering, mathematics, management information systems, or other technical discipline, or two years equivalent vocational training and/or experience in computer or network support; five years’ experience with various LAN/WAN network configurations including Cisco networking to remote offices and multiple datacenter environments; two years’ experience with firewall configuration and security; good written and verbal communications skills; willingness to travel and work late nights and weekends, as necessary; participate in an on-call rotation; ability to solve problems, manage projects, balance priorities and possess good organizational skills; must be able to work in a high stress environment; Cisco ASA firewalls, wireless, Riverbed WAN optimization,  MS Visio and Cisco VOIP experience is desired.
