The IT Configuration Manager is responsible for managing source code and the production and test environments in accordance with the organization’s software development lifecycle and industry best practices.  The role also shares responsibility for management of the technology infrastructure necessary to meet the functional and security requirements.   

Responsibilities including: 

•Define, develop, implement and manage efficient processes, standards and methodologies for software configuration management processes. 

•Establish and promote best practices relating to version control, release automation, deployment automation and environment promotion. 

• Control the movement of code through production and non-production environments.

• Work with application development, infrastructure, and testing staff to establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to build and deployment procedures for all applications. 

• Establish software release communication plans and communicate with affected stakeholders, business units and developers. 

• Implement performance management, capacity planning strategies, and configuration management processes for brightpeak financial’s production environment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to brightpeak financial’s production environments and applications

• Assist in the design and lead the implementation of key practices of the ITIL framework, including:  Configuration Management and Release Management

• Manage the promotion of changes to the Production environment in accordance with Change Management best practices

• Influence technical and management decisions on vendor and service provider selection for investments in infrastructure, software, projects, and personnel

• Optimize the resiliency of all production and non-production environments• Actively contribute to brightpeak’s Technology Operations & Infrastructure team in meeting objectives targeting technology resiliency and innovation

Role Qualifications

Strong understanding of best practices for source code management

Experience configuring Continuous Integration

Experience with Subversion

Experience with several build tools such as Ant, Jenkins, MS Build

Extensive Windows Server administration skills, including Application/Web Tier configuration

Minimum of three years supporting business critical production environments

Strong familiarity with Active Directory services (AD, AD Rights Mgmt, AD Federation)• Experience with WebSphere preferred
